This is my fire elemental Jared, done for the first time with the new coloring method.
 And it took *forever* to get those wings to look right. XDAnyway--the pose was referenced from a stock image by *Tigg-stock ([link]) The brushes used on the sky are from ~Scully7491* And, once again, thank you =SephirothCrystal for your helpful input.  Drawn and inked in the normal way, colored in Photoshop. EDIT: I decided to add an extra flame to the sky--their balance was diving me crazy (moreso than I already am, that is. XD ). Also, I added a spiffy new signature... EDIT, AGAIN Because I'm OCD and can't leave well enough alone...  The background of this had been nagging at me, so I decided to add in a couple of buildings using a brush set made by ~concept-on-mac ([link] --very nice brush set, I definitely recommend you check it out). This is the last thing I'm going to change on this one, I promise!*EDIT, FOR THE LAST TIME (hopefully): Okay, so I'm a liar. A horrible liar. By now you've probably noticed that I'm veeery OCD about my art. The quality of the line art was bothering me, so I decided to go over it in Illustrator, so it can now stand next to my more recent art as an equal (superior?). Also, I replaced the cloud brushes by ~Scully7491 with some clouds of my own (nothing against Scully's brushes--they're amazing--I just prefer to be as self sufficient as possible). there were some minor annoyances I tweaked as well (fullview that eye--I love the coloring on that eye...also, there's texture on the concrete), but it is essentially the same. ENJOY! |
