Artist's Comments
Well, this definitely isn't within my usual style of drawing. I was flipping through my art history book for some reason the other night, and I came across Jean Fouquet's Madonna and Child. [link] I was inspired by the way he presented the human form, so I decided to draw a little something of my own, adding a bit of a twist to it. The woman in my piece isn't Mary, and it is only meant to inspire a certain feeling.
I enjoyed doing this one, and I'll most likely do something similar in the future. Also, my poor neglected colored pencils enjoyed getting some attention again.  Colored pencils on black paper---EEENJOY.  |
